Work with creative, computer graphic designers to produce a full-size youth
authored/designed magazine.  Instruction and on-the-job training is provided
in computer graphics, writing composition and grammar, marketing and
design.  Community service hours can be earned.

VOLUME brings teens together to share their creative expressions in the form
of a publication.  VOLUME is distributed through schools, stores, community
centers and libraries throughout the San Gabriel Valley.

Along each step of the creative, design and production processes, VOLUME's
teen staff collaborates with professional and community leaders, including'
The Castle Press, Pasadena Weekly, Art Center College of Design and the
Armory Center for the Arts.

VOLUME provides teens with opportunities to develop employable skills
through "real work" experiences under the guidance of professionals and
mentors.   Creative program exercises place special emphasis on exploring
and expanding critical thinking, language and art skills.

VOLUME Magazine was selected by Pasadena Weekly, as a “Pasadena Way
Winner” in the category of Youth Activity in 2006.
